ABOUT CONFERENCE 2006This year marks PACE’s 25th year in serving high school students of African and Latino heritage. Our 2006 theme is “Developing Effective Habits: Laying Building Blocks for Today and Tomorrow.” Being a disciplined individual enables a person to respond versus react, minimize stress, overcome fears, increase productivity, and increase self-confidence. Come and equip yourself to go higher. Attend the PACE Youth Development Conference hosted by PACE YDC-Central Jersey. Attend engaging, enriching, motivating, and interactive workshops. The workshops will address developing a personal roadmap for college, developing effective test taking strategies and study habits, a panel discussion on youth enrichment and study abroad programs as well as financial planning for all ages. The conference is free to all and open to PACE Scholars, Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Administrators. Anyone interested in becoming a PACE volunteer or student is also welcome to register and attend. We look forward to seeing you!!! Merv Johnson, Maureen Taylor & Cara Washington 2006 Conference Chairpersons
